After a car accident, slip and fall, or other serious incident, it’s easy to assume you’re okay if you don’t feel pain right away. In reality, some injuries take hours, or even days, to become noticeable.
Even if emergency responders examined you at the scene or an emergency room discharged you shortly after the accident, that doesn’t necessarily mean serious injuries have been ruled out.
Delaying medical care can allow hidden injuries to worsen. It can also make it harder to show that the accident caused your injuries if you later pursue an insurance claim or personal injury lawsuit.
